Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Petrel collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have kept it short and plain because, at this stage, we collect very little.

Petrel is operated from Singapore and is intended for an international audience. We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and we apply the same standard to everyone regardless of where they are.

Who we are

Petrel ("we", "us") is a pilot aptitude training platform. For any privacy question, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

At this stage, Petrel is in pre-launch. If you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address — so we can contact you when the product launches.
  • The airline or programme you are preparing for — for example Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Cathay Pacific, Jetstar Asia, or RSAF. This helps us prioritise what we build.
  • The page you signed up from — so we understand which of our guides and pages are useful.
  • Your consent record — the version of this policy you agreed to, and the date and time, so we have a clear record of what you agreed to.

We do not collect your name, your location, payment details, or any assessment data at the waitlist stage. We do not ask you to create an account.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • Notify you when Petrel launches.
  • Send you an early-access promotion code.
  • Decide which assessment packs to build and refine first.

We will not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose you have not agreed to.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand how our pages are used in aggregate — for example, which guides are read most. This does not place tracking cookies on your device and does not identify you personally.

Where your data is stored

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. As an international service operated from Singapore, your data may be processed in Singapore and other regions where our infrastructure providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect it in transit and at rest.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist information until the earlier of: Petrel launching and contacting you, or you asking us to remove it. If you withdraw, we delete your waitlist record promptly, other than the minimal record needed to honour your withdrawal request.

Your choices

  • Withdraw consent / unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] at any time.
  • Access or correct your data. Email [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold and correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your data. Email [email protected] and we will remove your waitlist record.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the version and date at the top. If the change is significant and affects how we use data you have already given us, we will contact you before relying on the change.
